After over a year of Lockdown restrictions, Drumstars is delighted to announce that we are NOW OPEN for 1-2-1 sessions in store and are taking bookings.
Firstly, i want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through Lockdown. Your support allowed us to continue teaching via Zoom and survive through the pandemic. It has been an interesting year to say the least, but we are glad to see students back in store, learning their favourite instrument.
We are glad to announce that for students who still wish to continue lessons via Zoom, that these online sessions will still be available. Please let us know if you would prefer an online lesson.
As we are still gradually phasing out lockdown, so although we are now open, there are some things that you need to be aware of when you come and visit the store –
- Drumshop is open for customers to purchase drum products in store, however you will need to make an appointment to visit. Please contact Drumshop if you wish to book an appointment.
- We are still adhering to COVID-19 Government guidelines. We ask that you bring your own face covering, hand gels and own pair of drum sticks when attending your drum lesson.
- We want to minimise cash handling as much as possible due to COVID-19, so where possible please pay in advance for your lessons via Bank Transfer. If you require the bank transfer details, please ask your teacher and they will give these details to you. If bank transfer is not possible, please make sure you bring the correct amount of money for your lesson.
- We are also observing social distancing in store, so please be mindful that if the waiting area is busy with parents/students that you stick to the 2 metre rule. Where possible could we ask parents/guardians to stay in their cars if the area is already occupied.
Please Welcome Our New Tutor!
We would like to welcome Joe to the team! Joe recently joined the business and has already hit the ground running in the last couple of weeks. He is currently now taking bookings for in store or online sessions.
Joe is a successful Metal drummer, and has played in various local metal bands, and session bands playing anything from Pop to Punk. Joe began learning Drum kit with Drumstars over 10 years ago, and since then studied at Newcastle College graduating with an Honours degree.
We all want you to welcome Joe to the team, and wish him good luck on his new venture with Drumstars. We both have some fantastic ideas in store for you all, so please keep your eyes peeled!

We have updated our Reservation Policy
If you are unable to attend a drum lesson for any reason, and you are worried that your usual slot might be taken when you return, then worry no more! Drumstars has you covered!
You will still be able to reserve your usual slot for a maximum of 2 weeks at no additional cost. However if you’re still not able to attend after this 2 week period and wish to reserve your usual appointment slot, you are now able to do so, at the full cost of the lesson.
Please note: We operate a 48hr cancellation policy. If you wish to cancel your reservation, please notify us 48hrs before your appointment time. If the reservation is cancelled within 48hrs, you may still be charged. Please check our “Prices“ page for more information on our lesson prices.
